In modern vehicles more and more complex Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are used. Furthermore, the development of highly automated driving is unstoppable.
In particular, by these mega-trends, the correct application of the ISO 26262 (as standard for the functional safety) in the field of automotive for all OEMs and suppliers of electronic, with components of programmable software is getting more important.
In the ISO 26262 essentially processes and methods are described, which reduce the number of errors in the software or in the electronic hardware significantly, if they are used correctly.
The aim is to reduce the number of errors in these systems to a minimum, depending on their risk.
In order to interpret the standard correctly for the particular project-specific application, a wealth of experience is required.
Otherwise there is the risk to implement either a lot more or too little than the standard actually demands.
In the first case, the costs rise in non-acceptable areas. In the second case, you are highly vulnerable to the product lability act, in case of damage.
It can be an accused, that the safety does not consider the current state of the art.
The seminar provides a practical insight into the standard and the demands for developing software. The content of the standard will be presented. The seminar focuses on the industrial and practically relevant interpretation of the content of the standard.
The seminar deals with system-, hardware- and software relevant aspects of functional safety according to ISO 26262.
The spectrum ranges from the hazard analysis and risk assessment at the system level to the structural source code tests on the software level. After attending the seminar, you will be able to estimate the weaknesses and strengths of the ISO 26262 referring to implementation in software engineering projects (based on your own project) and to derive appropriate measures.
