Workflows
Measuring Code Coverage with
Testwell CTC++
always works in three independent steps: instrumentation - testing - report generation. Depending on the environment, different ways to use the components of
Testwell CTC++
are advantageous. They are described in these chapters.
Integrations
Descriptions how to integrate
Testwell CTC++
with third party tools can be found here.
Integration in Visual Studio
For Visual Studio, a graphical integration of
Testwell CTC++
is provided for instrumentation as well as for report generation.
Integration in IAR Embedded Workbench
On Windows, an integration of
Testwell CTC++
is available for IAR Embedded Workbench. It includes an integration with the IAR build system, several compiler settings, and a graphical user interface integrated in the IDE.
Integration in Eclipse (CDT)
The toolchain of
Testwell CTC++
can be integrated in Eclipse CDT by configuration. After that, it is possible to instrument code directly from Eclipse, and to generate coverage reports from it.
Integration with CMake
The following two ways are described how to use
Testwell CTC++
with CMake: By defining a switch in one of the
CMakeLists.txt
files, or by using
ctclaunch
(on Windows).
